A team of five Macleans College students represented the school at the Ethics Olympiad International Senior High School Final.

Jaqueline Tahir (Batten House), Ayan Shah (Upham), Finn Wai-Poi (Rutherford), Fred Wong (Te Kanawa) and Areeba Zabrina (Hillay) earned their place in the final after winning gold at the North Island Senior Ethics Olympiad in June.

They competed against 51 teams from around the world in a full day of discussions on complex, real-world ethical cases. The event featured three heats, each requiring thoughtful analysis, respectful debate and collaborative problem-solving.

The Macleans College team received an Honourable Mention from the judges for their clear, concise and well-presented engagement with this year’s cases.
