Payment Terms and Conditions

Preferred Payment Method

Macleans College’s preferred method of payment is via the Parent Secure Portal, where payments can be made securely through direct bank transfer (account-to-account) or credit card for school-related costs, activities, and donations.

Payment Options:

  • Full or partial payments are accepted.
  • Currently no fees apply to any payments made via the Parent Secure Portal.
  • Direct Bank Deposits are allowed, please ensure to include student ID/Surname as reference.
  • Direct Debits weekly/fortnightly or monthly deductions are also available and will be applied to any outstanding amounts based on due dates on the student’s account.

Due Dates for Payments

For all trips, sports and extra-curricular activities, payment must be made in full by the date specified on the relevant charge, permission slip, notification letter, or registration form. Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in withdrawal from the activity.

Refund Policy

Payments made for school-related charges, voluntary donations, trips, sports, tournaments and registrations are generally non-refundable.

  • Where a refund is approved, it will first be credited against any other outstanding amounts on the student’s account.
  • All refund inquiries should be directed to the Teacher in Charge.

    Privacy and Website Security

    Macleans College uses Windcave Payment Solution system to ensure secure transactions. Windcave is a provider of real time payment processing solutions in New Zealand.

    • Credit card details are securely processed via Windcave and are not stored by the College.
    • We are Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant.

      Windcave uses the Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES) means a strong form of data security technology that uses advanced data encryption to protect card transaction information.

      Donations and Financial Contributions

      Macleans College does not charge compulsory fees for domestic students. However, voluntary donations play a vital role in maintaining the high standard of education and facilities we provide.

      Voluntary Contributions support:

      These funds enable us to provide students with enhanced resources and staffing. For example, we have been able to:

      • employ three additional counsellors
      • cover the Upham House courts to allow all-weather Physical Education and sports
      • increase Learning Support staff
      • employ 20 extra classroom teachers to reduce class sizes and expand subject choices
      • purchase new furniture to improve classroom learning spaces

        All donations are voluntary, but your contribution is greatly appreciated and enables us to continue offering a broad and high-quality educational experience.

        Tax Donation Receipts

        Voluntary donations made to Macleans College are eligible for a 33.33% tax rebate through Inland Revenue (IRD).

        • A consolidated Tax Donation Receipt will be issued by mid-April each year, covering donations received up to 31 March.
