Top honours for Macleans College students at Young Sportsperson Awards

Two Macleans College students were recognised for their outstanding sporting achievements at the College Sport Auckland Young Sportsperson of the Year Awards, held recently at Eden Park.

These awards celebrate secondary school sporting talent across the Auckland region and acknowledge students for their commitment, skill and pursuit of excellence.

Macleans College finalists this year were Ayaan Lambat (Batten House) for cricket, Josephine Zhao (Mansfield House) for badminton and Samuel Ding (Upham) for golf.

Congratulations to Ayaan who was named Auckland’s top schoolgirl cricketer.

Congratulations are also extended to Decca Ready (Mansfield), who received an award for her international success in skateboarding.
