Year 13 students farewelled at Macleans College Leavers celebration

The event began at 3.00 pm in the school gymnasium with farewell speeches from the Principal, Mr Hargreaves and the Year 13 Dean, Mrs Mair.  Student speakers Jessie Zhang (Upham House) and Bruce Zhang (Mansfield) followed with personal reflections and key memories from their years at the college.

Mrs Heeney and Mr Reed then addressed the cohort, offering guidance and encouragement as students prepare for the next stage of their journeys.  Students and staff also enjoyed a student-produced Leavers’ video that captured memorable moments from the final year.

Musical entertainment was provided by the Year 13 band Glenfern/After Effects, led by Rebecca Cai (Te Kanawa) and her bandmates.

The celebration concluded with a BBQ - giving students and staff time to relax, connect and take final photos together.
