Year 11 Mana camp reflects a year of skill-building and connection

Year 11 Mana students at Macleans College concluded their school year with a two-night camping experience at Martins Bay on the Mahurangi Peninsula.
They were joined by 12 international students and embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm, teamwork and good humour.
From the moment they arrived, students demonstrated independence and resilience. They pitched their own tents and prepared their meals with confidence.
The beachside setting provided an ideal backdrop for a full programme of activities. These included a competitive sandcastle competition, morning fitness sessions, a beach scavenger hunt, swimming, coastal walks and the always-popular stand-up paddleboarding.
With exceptional weather throughout, the camp served as a fitting end to a year of developing skills, strengthening relationships and demonstrating commitment to the 11 Mana course. It was a celebration of achievement, personal growth and the strong sense of community that defines the Mana spirit.
