World Vision Day milestone at Macleans College

Macleans College marked a milestone this year by hosting its first World Vision Day in the school amphitheatre, featuring a student-led bake sale.

More than 100 students are part of the World Vision group at Macleans College. Together, they organised a successful fundraiser to support committees in the Solomon Islands who are facing severe impacts from climate change.

The funds raised will provide tools and seeds to help families grow climate-smart crops, ensuring a stable food supply. They will also support mangrove planting, which protects gardens from rising sea levels and attracts fish closer to the shore.

The bake sale contributed to the $18,000 already raised by Macleans College for this cause, highlighting the commitment of students to global community support.
