Macleans College equestrian competitors, Olivia Owen (Snell House) and Kate McKeen (Hillary) represented the school at the North Island Secondary Schools (NISS) Equestrian Championships in Taupō during Tournament Week.

The four-day event brought together hundreds of riders from across the North Island, with competitions in dressage, show jumping, arena eventing and show hunter.

Kate, riding Rockafella Just n the Money, delivered consistent performances across several disciplines. She placed second overall in the competitive horse 95cm three-day event, second in the Level 2B dressage test with a score of 64.844% and finished in the top ten of the Level 2C dressage test with 63%.

Olivia competed in her first major event riding Parklands Cloudy Days, an impressive achievement given their limited time together beforehand. She won the Level 0D dressage test with a score of 69.318%, placed fourth in the Level 0C with 68.158% and finished sixth overall in the pony 65cm three-day event.

Both Kate and Olivia also received the prestigious Best Presented award. Their results reflect outstanding individual achievement and were a proud representation of Macleans College.
