Benjamin Chan claims third place at New Zealand Physics and Mathematics Competition

Nearly 50 Macleans College students competed in the finals day of the New Zealand Physics and Mathematics Competition (NZPMC) at the University of Auckland.
The finals day is reserved for the top 1% of students nationwide. The strong representation from Macleans College reflects the success of students in navigating the challenging qualifying round, highlighting the school’s depth of talent in physics and mathematics.
Several students placed in the top ten of both the Senior and Junior competitions. Notably, Benjamin Chan (Upham House) achieved third place overall in the junior competition.
The NZPMC challenges students to demonstrate skills in physics and mathematics. Open to all high school students, it offers a valuable opportunity for those eager to extend their knowledge and push their abilities further.
