Teacher strike action - Thursday 23 October

Dear parents and caregivers,

Teacher strike action

The PPTA has informed us of their planned strike action on Thursday 23 October. The Macleans College Board have been advised by the PPTA that member teachers are refusing to teach students on that day.

We have an insufficient number of non-union staff to be able to provide safe and suitable relief cover to the students of the classes that union members teach, therefore, students should not come to school on Thursday 23 October.

However, students who have inadequate safe supervision at home may come to school and study in the library.

CIE examinations will continue as normal on Thursday 23 October.  

School resumes as normal for students on Friday 24 October.
