Lights, music and hundreds of talented students filled the final week of Term 2 as Macleans College came alive for the annual Eisteddfod.
From soaring vocals to polished dance routines, the school was transformed into a festival of creativity and performance.
An epic run of performances were presented across two venues - the Colin Prentice Auditorium and the Music Department’s MU.1 (transformed into its Castle by Candlelight state) - keeping both staff and students exceptionally busy.
The auditorium hosted four showcase concerts: the Chorale and Dance Showcase, All Comers Choirs Showcase, Bands Showcase and Orchestra Showcase. Meanwhile, Castle by Candlelight provided an intimate setting for three cabaret-style performances titled Wondering Out Loud.
With nearly every event at capacity, over 600 students took to the stage to showcase their artistry and celebrate the strength of performing arts at Macleans College.
The Performing Arts faculty now turn their focus to the much-anticipated Gala Concert, taking place on Friday 1 August at the Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau.
