Seven Macleans College students were recently recognised at the Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards, held at the University of Auckland.

This event highlighted the outstanding achievements of students who excelled in the 2024 Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

Wesley Lau (Kupe House) was recognised for earning Top in the World in AS Mathematics, a remarkable feat that is even more impressive given that Wesley was a Year 11 student at the time. This exceptional achievement marks the second consecutive year that a Macleans College student has earned Top in the World for AS Mathematics.

The following students were recognised for earning Top in New Zealand awards:

  • Kelly Ma (Upham) - Top in New Zealand in AS History
  • Catherine Luo (Upham) - Top in New Zealand in AS Physics
  • Jason Dong (Snell) - Top in New Zealand in A Level Accounting
  • Cynthia Chen (Kupe) - Top in New Zealand in A Level Chinese Language and Literature
  • Julia Escoto (Kupe) - Top in New Zealand in A Level Computer Science
  • Emily Yin (Te Kanawa) - Top in New Zealand in A Level English Language

Macleans College sends their congratulations to these students.
