Macleans College students raise $5,000 in Shave for a Cure event
Posted on August 20, 2025
Twenty-one Macleans College students recently participated in this year’s Shave for a Cure event.
To support New Zealanders living with leukaemia and other blood cancers, students bravely shaved or cut their hair. Together, they raised more than $5,000 for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand.
The atmosphere was supportive, with cheers from the crowd accompanying every shave. While some students admitted to feeling nervous, each showed remarkable courage in standing up for this cause.
Congratulations to all who took part - your efforts are truly commendable. Thank you also to everyone who donated. The funds raised will help provide vital support for patients and their families.
