Year 10 student William Edmondson (Kupe House) has won the 2025 KartSport New Zealand National Schools Championship, proudly representing Macleans College.

The event was held at ApparelMaster Raceway in Te Puke. It brought together school-aged competitors from across the country, each representing their school within KartSport New Zealand’s structured classes.

William competed in the Rotax Max Junior class - a popular category for drivers aged 12-16, featuring water-cooled, electric-start two-stroke engines.

In a field of 18 competitors, William qualified second despite challenging weather conditions. He then went on to win the final and secure the national schools title.
