Macleans College claims first-ever national squash title

Macleans College has made history - winning its first-ever squash national title at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Squash Championships.
The Premier Squash team travelled to Wellington earlier this month and returned home with the prestigious Co-ed Cup for best combined-team performance.
Almost 60 schools from across the country competed, making the event highly competitive. Over three days, the Macleans College players performed at their very best - displaying courage and resilience. The Premier Girls secured fourth place, while the Premier Boys improved on their initial ranking. Together, their efforts delivered a memorable result for the school.
A special highlight of the trip was a surprise visit from Mr Chang and Mr Wing. They spent a day with the teams, providing coaching support and assisting with transport to the venue.
This season’s success has been made possible through the commitment of many. Special thanks go to team manager Ms Sutanto, whose dedication and hospitality have shaped the Macleans College Squash programme. Appreciation is also extended to coach Rafa Yam for his weekly training sessions, and to Mr Tracey for leading the team’s morning fitness training.
