Kairangi, Distinction and School Sports Awards at Year 11 Prizegiving 2025

Kairangi Award for All Round Excellence in Year 11

To meet the criteria for this award, the following four students have excelled in all three cornerstones of Macleans College. They have outstanding academic results, full involvement in the life of the whānau house and extensive participation in extra-curricular activities - including premier teams and groups.   The recipients also have full attendance at school.

The students are awarded a taonga to wear.

Distinction Awards

Distinction Awards are top prizes.  They are awarded for effort, perseverance, loyalty and participation.  They are for qualities of character and for exemplifying worthwhile values - the "Macleans" values.

SVA Service Award

The SVA (Student Volunteer Army) is a New Zealand registered charity committed to advancing volunteering.   The SVA service award has been created to encourage and mobilise high school students to do community service.   The top volunteer award pin is awarded to the student who logs the most hours of service throughout the year.

The top volunteer award for Macleans College is Cloris Wang (Batten).
