Macleans College acknowledges ICAS medal winners
Posted on February 19, 2025
Three Macleans College students were acknowledged at school assembly last week, after gaining ICAS medals at the end of 2024.
ICAS is an internationally-recognised academic competition. Held annually, ICAS has been sat by over 10 million school students from 16,000 schools across 41 countries since 1981.
In 2024, 450 Macleans College students participated in Mathematics, Science and English assessments. To be awarded an ICAS medal, students must have achieved the highest score in their region – and even then, their score must be deemed sufficiently meritorious when compared to other regions.
Congratulations to the following students who achieved medal-winning status in Mathematics and Science.
- Edgar Xie (Upham House) - Mathematics
- Richard Tao (Kupe) - Mathematics
- Dior He – (Mansfield) Science
