Fiafia Night 2025 celebrates Māori and Pacifica cultures

Posted on November 11, 2025

For the fourth consecutive year, Māori and Pacifica cultures took centre stage at Macleans College’s annual Fiafia Night - a vibrant celebration of music, dance and song.

This year’s performances included a superb Samoan piece from the Macleans College Chorale, led by Mrs McNabb, alongside lively Tongan and Samoan dance items and the school Kapa Haka group.

With the auditorium filled to near capacity, Fiafia Night has become a much-anticipated highlight of the school calendar.  Individually and collectively, the students shone and demonstrated an incredible depth of talent as they represented their culture with passion and flair.

Special thanks go to Ms Tuialii for her dedicated leadership behind the scenes, ensuring another successful event.  Appreciation is also extended to Miss Kim for her work with the Siva group and Mr Reed for his guidance of the Kapa Haka group.
