Brazilian students explore iconic Auckland attractions

A group of 11 short-term international students from Brazil recently explored two of Auckland’s most iconic tourist attractions as part of their three-week study visit to Macleans College.
During a visit to Auckland Zoo, the students had the opportunity to observe native New Zealand wildlife, including the kiwi, takahē and tuatara. The experience provided valuable insight into the country’s unique biodiversity. The students were particularly excited to learn about the zoo’s partnerships with conservation organisations in South America. They also enjoyed walking through the South American rainforest track, where they encountered animals familiar from their homeland.
The group also visited Sea Life Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium. A highlight of the trip was Shark Tunnel, the world’s first curved aquarium tunnel. Walking beneath some of the ocean’s largest aquarium sharks was a memorable experience for the students, blending excitement with education about marine life.
When not attending classes on campus, the students are actively exploring Auckland, making the most of their time in New Zealand. These excursions provide cultural enrichment and complement their academic schedule.
Macleans College welcomes international students from across Asia, Europe, South America, North America and beyond. International students who come to Macleans College become a part of a vibrant and diverse community.
