Auckland Interact Conference inspires youth-led community initiatives

Posted on March 26, 2025

A recent Interact Conference brought together students from secondary schools across Auckland, fostering collaboration and leadership among young changemakers.

Interact, short for International Action, is a global service organisation sponsored by local Rotary Clubs and established in many secondary schools. The group focuses on four key pillars: community service, finance, international understanding and club service.

Hosted by the Interact Club of One Tree Hill College, the conference provided an excellent opportunity for Macleans College club executives to network, collaborate and brainstorm initiatives to enhance community service efforts. Inspired by the conference, planning is underway for the Kī o Rahi Festival - an Auckland-wide event bringing people together to raise funds for Climate Action, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13.

A special thank you to Richard Wilkie and the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay for their continued support.
