Macleans College makes debut at Auckland Beach Volleyball Championships

The girls’ team comprised Angela Zhao (Kupe House) and Jasmine Gao (Rutherford).  They recorded a 2-0 win over KingsWay School and 1-2 loss against Long Bay College.  

These results placed the girls' team in the bottom half of the draw.  They met Long Bay College again and lost 1-2, finishing 11th overall.

The boys’ team comprised Christian Gade (Kupe) and Mathew Bailey (Kupe).  They achieved a 2-0 win over Rosmini College and a 2-1 win over Orewa College.

These victories placed the boys’ team in the top half of the playoffs.  They lost to Rangitoto College 0-2, then defeated another Rangitoto College team 2-0, finishing 5th overall.

Both teams performed admirably throughout the tournament, representing Macleans College with pride.  The students valued the opportunity to compete and look forward to further involvement in beach volleyball.
