Macleans College alumna shares engineering journey with future innovators

Macleans College students experienced the exciting world of engineering firsthand at this year’s Enginuity Day, hosted by the Women in Engineering Network at The University of Auckland.
Year 12 and 13 students participated in a series of workshops designed to introduce them to the field of engineering and highlight potential career pathways.
The hands-on sessions were led by professional engineers, university lecturers and current engineering students. Activities ranged from creating chocolate spaghetti using a hydraulic press, to building complex circuits and applying mathematical modelling to solve real-world problems.
A highlight of the day was hearing from engineers across various industries. The students were especially inspired by Michelle Delves (Hillary House 2017 - 2019), a Macleans College alumna, who now works at Air New Zealand as a Data and Analytics Engineer.
